Description
Interface’s founder Ray Anderson has changed his company 1994 completely after reading The Ecology of Commerce by Paul Hawken and committed to the Mission Zero. Ray Anderson shook the foundations of the petroleum-intensive carpet manufacturing industry by declaring that Interface was committed to becoming the world’s first environmentally sustainable – and, ultimately, restorative – company. Interface can be proud that it accomplished Mission Zero and announced an new goal: Climate Take Back™.
Interface is way ahead of other companies when it comes to making a positive impact on the environment. One big difference is that they see carbon as a resource. They are actively exploring raw materials that use waste carbon or sequester carbon to make new products. They are on the way to create a prototype of their first carbon-capturing tile.
